The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) is changing the nature of supply chain management. The UFLPA, which went into effect in June 2022, aims to prevent the import of products made wholly or in part with forced labor in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China. To reach compliance, importers must have increased visibility into their supply chains and suppliers’ operations.
