We conducted a study of more than 1,200 knowledge workers, including business leaders, people managers, HR leaders, and individual contributors, who shared insights for today’s employers:

  • Skills development and training and company culture have increased in importance by more than 20 points for business leaders since our research in 2021
  • 41% of surveyed business leaders strongly agree their company is doing a good job with company culture, compared to 24% of individual contributors
  • More than 9 in 10 respondents say that learning, career development, and training is important for them personally and for their company to thrive
  • Seven in 10 respondents believe location flexibility is important
  • A higher percentage of fully remote (85%) and hybrid (84%) employees believe their companies have effective people managers than employees who work in the office (75%)
